A dream in white! This beautiful house enchants visitors and viewers alike. Like all our COMMOD houses, it is also a timber modular house in timber frame construction. The creative owner Alexandra, who has a flair for interior design, and her cat live on its 91 m² gross floor area (75 m² net floor area) in the south of Lower Austria.
The house impresses with its white façade and the inviting lounge-style terrace. A unique feature is the combination of the monopitch roof, which opens to the south, and the handmade, high mullioned windows with a view of the sky, which let plenty of light into the house – even on dark winter days.
Symmetrical living kitchen in white and gold
A spacious kitchen open to the living room with access to the inviting terrace forms the heart of COMMOD Snow White. The design of the kitchen scores with the symmetrically placed cabinets, the combination of white lacquered wooden cabinets and gold fittings as well as copper fittings. A practical feature is the hidden work and storage area.
There are a couple of places in this house that definitely have the potential to be a favourite. Be it the bar around the kitchen island, the sofa right next to the Swedish fireplace in the living room or the romantically lit, lounge-style terrace adorned with loving decoration.
Retreat and backdrop for inspiration
To the right of the entrance are the wet areas – WC and bathroom. These are kept in natural shades – beige and grey. Golden fittings were also used here. Around the corner behind the washstand, hides a chic bathtub. At this point it is noticeable that the separation between the “public” and the private areas in this house has worked extraordinarily well. After the entrance on the left, there is a large bedroom with a bed and dressing table. A shelf separates this area from the study, which also serves as a recording studio for podcasts, among other things, due to the good acoustics.
